Globally, Immigration Laws are enacted and enforced not only to protect the rights of the existing legal-populace/citizenry, but also to emphasize and protect the ethical interests of lawful immigrants and legal-assylum-seekers who take the time and make the point of immigrating to and from whichever region/country/ville/etc. lawfully and ethically as required to demonstrate worthiness of the rights that come with lawful citizenship (i.e., voting, employment, education, healthcare and housing assistance, etc.) without placing an undue strain on the existing system as illegal occupancy often can and typically does (loss of jobs, economic benefits, increased homelessness, etc.)
---

Like professional standards (including but not limited to personal, scholarly, religious, corporate, medical, high-arts, etc.) general academic standards includes ‘ethical’ codes of conduct (which may and are applied to all aspects of student/scholarly/academic/professional/post-graduate, etc. life).

This also means that your social security burgeoning (national) healthcare, retirement and, or other benefits may/will be at risk to pay for all of that at some point. Look at countries where benefits, social services, basic medical care (including dental) have been greatly reduced or eliminated, and taxes have become so inflated that people are relocating to underdeveloped regions. We really can’t afford to back down and succumb to unorthodox pressure from or for those unqualified to participate in the local infrastructure / economy (overcrowding the prison system doesn’t count, btw.) either currently or in the future.

Unfortunately with so many legal-resident-aliens (int’l students sponsored by Universities) and legal-immigrants (who took the time despite whatever the hazards of their former homeland posed) to do things right, how is it that in a time of global financial crisis, that we are encouraged to ignore eligible candidates with proven academic prowess and verified personal background, to provide aid to those whose entire families decided to break international laws (again which means, in some aspect of public, private, personal business, professional or otherwise aspects of life they unduly felt that it was acceptable to do things all-the-way-wrong), i.e., to live of the already strained support systems that are supposed to help catalogued/legal residents- on top of not being able to verify their educational, criminal or other background information that may make them ineligible for student-candidacy in general, but certainly invalidate any request for scholarly support outside of a standard loan which must be repaid in full ??

Specialized Academic- Intensive Education requires a pre-existing skillset. And anyone qualified will do it right and apply as an international scholar to wherever when they are ABLE to do so, lawfully (i.e., ethically). Asylum programs are not the same thing and it is inappropriate to attempt to use or misconstrue ‘asylum’ for or as interchangeable with other programs for which they may not be eligible. It constitutes fraud or an attempt to de-fraud the government, (whether globally or as in this case the United States)
.

i.e., as in, or, as: Like Medicine, Science, High-Arts, etc. Technology is about and requires a qualitative skillset. With any field of expertise, there may be more candidates than available positions. One must be qualified to apply to technology fields. Core Academic standards must be met in order to include eligible candidates for screening. If voters supported candidates with strong academic support programs for k-12 systems and university funding for specialized professional and post graduate studies in theses areas, there would be more skilled persons in the field. Education is and requires more than adaptation. It benefits everyone. And high standards academic programs allows us to combine classic educational paradigms and new-age teaching-research systems in a way that enhances the long-term planned-intellectual-design in pure academia, as well as make ecological-friendly adjustments that meets today’s moderne-paradigm-needs-to-standard. Also having individualized educational systems that are specific to the needs of the 'type' of candidate in terms of their intellectual ability or (as in the case of *uniquely special needs) lack of acumen, is perhaps more unobtrusive and does not take away from the overall environmental needs of the professional-academian-ecosystem. However, to provide appropriate support for either type of candidate requires and must needs a qualified professional at the helm, which does not allow for lowering of standards in high academia regardless of whether at the k-12/preparatory or the ivy-affiliates university/collegiate systems. which obviously allows for both physical and economic recovery in a way that is in step with the world today in terms of being able to maintain windows of communication within and between otherwise isolated parts of the world who require more assistance with education, technology, infrastructure, etc., which obviously will trickle down or up to health, business, politics, and higher education standards also.##

Academic standards must be met in order to include eligible candidates for screening.
